Rhyming Dictionary - Just type in those words that have you stuck and find every possible match!
Writers Key - A simple table which shows each major key and the positions of the chords within it. It is a very easy reference point to transpose (change) the key of a piece of music. I use it all the time to transpose cover songs to suit my voice. You just find the key the song is in (usually indicated by the chord the song would 'naturally' finish on), decide how many semi-tones up or down you need to move it and then replace the chords with the ones in the new keys' corresponding position. Feel free to copy it into word or save it directly.
The Ultimate Guitar Chords List - A massive list with virtually every variation of guitar chord possible under the sun! Note: (x00232) Means don't play 1st string, 2nd & 3rd are open, 4th string 2nd fret, 5th string 3rd fret, 6th string 2nd fret (a D chord).

If the song is not here try: A - Z Chords - If the song is not here, don't waste time wading through sites. My top tip is put the name of the song into a Google Search followed by the word 'Chords' or 'Tab' depending on which you're after and that usually does the trick. Failing that try the artist but by this time it's not looking hopeful, it looks like you might have to sit there and nut it out for yourself! |

To learn to play the acoustic guitar or simple piano the quickest and easiest way is to start with easy songs that you already know and which have only a few, very easy chords and once you remember those chords find another song which uses some of those chords plus a few new ones, here are 8 easy pop songs to start with . Use 'Chord finder' in the Songwriting Tools section above to show you how to play those chords or download the 'Ultimate guitar chords list' and find them in that. Once you have mastered a few of those songs you will have a good feel for it and you can start to search for your favourite songs using the links in the Finding Cover Songs Section. Avoid bar chords (on guitar) until you've mastered a good amount of the open (non-bar) chords as they require more hand strength.
